The Acro Club Championships 2007

I really did resist the temptation to start this article with the words WOW, WOW, WOW!!!

But .............

For the Eighth year in a row at the Club Championships, yet again TESTWOOD take the lion's share of the medals!!! 17 medals were available to us and we won 13 of them, (leaving the other clubs to scrap over the remaining 4).

WELL DONE TESTWOOD GYMNASTS!

Here are the highlights -

GREENWASH! in Regional 1 Women's tumbling with Lauren, Hannah and Sophie winning the medals. Lauren had the highest score in all three of her runs.

Tyrone with a heavy cold still winning Regional 1 Men's Tumbling.

Elizabeth picking up a Bronze in Regional 2 Women's Tumbling with Amy an agonising 0.05 behind in 4th place.

Liam winning Regional 2 Men's Tumbling.

In Regional 3 Women's Tumbling Kayleigh had the highest 1st and 2nd runs scores but was just edged into a Silver medal by 0.05 after run 3.

If there was a medal for nerves Rachael would win every time, but in Regional 4 Women's Tumbling, she showed how to overcome them and romped home by a whole mark to take Gold.

On the Floor, Prep A Women's pairs saw a resounding victory by almost 2 whole marks for Nikita and first-timer Heather.

Our two men, Tyrone and Liam added to their tumbling Golds by winning a Floor Gold in the Regional 1 Men's Pairs.

Kayleigh and Katy were really pleased were their performance in Grade 1 women's Pairs and were rewarded with a Bronze medal.

In Grade 1 Women's Groups, Beth, Sammi and Kayleigh were just edged into Silver, while Nicky, Melissa and Amy were close on their heels in Bronze. Sadly a fall in Rhea, Rachael and Elizabeth's routine dropped them out of the medals into 4th place (by only 0.05)

So I promised not to start with WOW, WOW, WOW, but I've got to finish with it!!!!!

WOW, WOW, WOW - Well done Lauren, Hannah, Sophie, Heather, Mercedes, Tyrone, Elizabeth, Amy, Nikita, Katy, Georgia, Liam, Kayleigh, Elouisa, Rachael, Kayleigh, Beth, Sammi, Nicky, Melissa and Rhea for making us proud - AGAIN.
