The Prelims - 1st March 2008

This was a very small competition for us with just a tumbler, a pair and a trio taking part.

They all completed their routines and tumble runs without mistakes and were pleased with their performances, but with the big clubs there, like Oxford, Phoenix Andover and the Southampton Squads, we always knew our placing would be in the lower half of the table.

Even so, Catherine's first tumble run at National 1 level put her in 8th place, but a wobble in run 2 dropped her to 11th place, which she retained in run 3.

Kayleigh and Catherine in Grade 1 Women's Pairs came 14th and Sara, Rachael and Katy in Grade 1 Women's Groups finished a creditable 10th.

And with the Club Championships just two weeks down the line, this was a good test of their techniques.
