The National Prelims - 6th March 2010

The Prelims is always the toughest competition of the year with all the big guns out in force, so it was very pleasing to see some medals coming our way!

Again, Jon-Luc was assured of a medal as he was the only one in Over 13 National 2 Men's Tumbling, but he still produced some very tidy tumbling, averaging 8.65 across all three of his runs with, again, the last one being the best at 9.13 !!!!

In Prep B Women's Pairs we had three partnerships who have competed against each other several times now. Katy & Zoe were the winners on this occasion finishing 6 out of 14 with 25.26. However the middle order of the competition was so tight that Hannah & Boston's 11th place was only 0.13 behind Katy & Zoe, so two less wobbles would have seen them in 6th place. Unfortunately, Sophie & Zoe had a bad day at the office and brought up the (almost) rear with 24.10.

Jon-Luc is getting used to being the only one in his grade, and so it was with his partnership with Callum where in Prep B Men's Pairs they took Gold with 24.96.

In the newly created Prep B Women's Groups, Kayleigh, Nikita & Nikki won the Silver medal, only missing out on the Gold because of an Artistry deduction based on the three girl's maturity to each other.

So this trio along with the Men's Pair will represent the Southern Region at the Inter-Regional Competition on April 25th.

Finally, in Grade 1 Women's Pairs, Rachael & Katie, who have not been together as a pair for very long, put in a strong performance to come a creditable 7th out of 19 with 25.10.

So, all in all, another very good competition for Testwood. Well done everyone!
